Aura is the life-force of all beings, including Transformers, Organics, just about anything sentient. It's also a manipulative energy if one knows how to use it and read it.
There are several ways to use this energy. One is combat, the second is healing, the third is mental advancement, and the fourth is near-immortality ("near" because immortality with it is currently unknown outside the race of Energy Beings who are made of aura).
Combat uses range between simple burns, to energy discs to weapons & ammo of pure energy - and just as lethal as real weapons.
This use of energy is quite costly though to the user.
Healing uses are as wide as combat uses. It can heal cuts and bruises up to broken bones, and even save someone from death.
Mental advancement is an interesting use. Aura can assist Telepathy, Telekinesis, Poofing (teleporting), Invisibility, Pyrokinesis- yes, we totally went there. Go Avatar lawl. It also can provide shielding of many types including but not limited to Bubble Shields, Energy vs. Energy shields (lets energy of the same signature pass through the shield), and can provide an extra boost of energy to a friendly at the cost of the user providing it.
Aura Sight is another advancement, and an extremely important one at that. This sight lets the user see everyone's aura around him/her; letting them identify emotions and 'goodness' with ease. Seeing as how no aura being to date has ever been able to completely hide their aura, Aura Sight is the only sure way to know that there isn't someone stalking you from behind cloaked eyes.
Near-Immortality is a tricky thing that requires two things. The first is an Aura Stone, and the second is that the stone be on the body in some way when that person has effectively died.
An Aura Stone isn't exactly a stone. It's a very special gem made directly from aura. The stone is naturally found on the home world of the Aura Beings in caves and deep underground. Don't anger them by stealing the gems though. Always ask the natives politely, or else you may be at the receiving end of some of those above combat moves.
An aura user can also create the stone by him or herself if they know how to, and can make a stone for someone else if a sample of the receiver’s aura is available to make it from.
Either way, the stone will change color to the natural color and shade of the owner and change into a shape that means something very important to them. They may or may not know the reason, but they will discover it eventually.
How, you may ask, does this little stone provide near-immortality?
Well, if the stone is on the user's person when they die, the stone will simply store that person's soul and memories in itself.
If the stone is left alone with the body, it will take between a week and a month to regenerate the body depending on the severity of the injuries.
If the stone is taken from the body and not returned in 3 days, the body permanently dies, and the person stays trapped in the gem, unable to break free.
If this happens, the gem will help the user generate energy over time to break themselves out. This process, however, can take up to 5 years to finish, and will have to start over if it's interrupted at any point.
Can't the gem just be smashed?
Nope! That doesn't mean it's indestructible though. A gem can be broken, but only by aura, be it the user's or a user just as powerful. The gem will crack under the aura until it eventually shatters.
This isn't a problem if the user has never died. If they have died before and it shatters, then they will be permanently dead.
Aura Beings don't die from old age or normal sicknesses, and therefore, don't get an afterlife. The only time they get an "afterlife" is while they are in the gem or if they have passed mentally into the afterlife at their own free will. This act is also very costly and can only be done once every few months with all they've got.
The gemstone not only allows easier access to aura and stores life, but it also allows the user to shape-shift into other living forms as it stores the user's true form and soul in the gem.
The Aura Beings have used this ability for generations to help other races understand aura. Training has ceased within the last couple decades, however, since the Akki events.
There are naturally good auras, and naturally bad ones. Generally, lighter auras are good souls, and darker ones are bad. Does this apply to black and white auras? No, not exactly. One could have a white aura and be evil, and vice-versa.
Aura Color Meanings:
White - Compassionate, self-less, generally good.
Black - Somewhat self-centered, distrustful, usually pushes others away.
Pink - Usually happy, kind, polite, highly sensitive.
Red - Aggressive, hot-headed, fight-first-ask-later kind of thinking.
Orange - Creative, disciplined, somewhat sensitive emotionally.
Yellow - Mentally alert, childish, thinks rather than feels most of the time.
Green - Peaceful, needs to be needed, can be jealous.
Blue - Generally calm and collected, organized, can be an indication of sadness, or easy to upset (depending on the person).
Purple - Spiritually strong, imaginative, sensitive, can be manipulative at certain times.
Auras can also be a mix of some colors, and have traits from each of them.
There are 3 layers of colors; Family color, emotional color, and then the shade.
Family color is what the name suggests; the family's color that is passed on from one generation to the next with its part of the user's unique signature; much like a DNA pattern, but less science junk.
Emotional color is the person's current emotion based off the basic traits of the above colors. Pink for happy, red for angry, deep blue for sad, etc.
Good and bad isn't dependent on color, but on shade. The shade can change though, unlike the color they were born with. The shade changes based on the choices a person makes.
If one aims to help rather than harm their friends, their shade will usually be lighter. If they choose to harm, it would get darker.
Every aura has a signature unique to that person, and can be tracked by any other aura user that knows how to.
Meditating on aura is essential if one is to maintain its control. If a user cannot expel energy on a regular enough basis, the energy will build up, and will eventually cause loss of control, unleashing wild energy that could possibly decimate a city.
Meditating can also channel needed energy throughout the body, making needs to sleep, eat, and visit the little Spartan's room unnecessary for a while. They will need to take care of themselves normally every couple of weeks or so to avoid physical damage.
