A blueish transformer and a bender, River hasn't had the best life. She spent most of her life on the run from those who shunned her abilities. She had no family or friends and found herself alone since she can remember.
While running when she was 8 or so, she ran into Starscream while he was patrolling and protected her from the pursuers. She told him of her situation and he taught her how to defend herself. They got separated in another fight and she was back running again.
When she was 16, she had ended up on a prehistoric version of Earth at the same time as the Preds and some of Starscream's family. She was found by Quake, Starscream's grandnephew. He took River back to base and gave her shelter and a lot of kindness. When River saw Starscream, she recognized him immediately, but let him figure it out on his own...eventually.
She eventually loosened up and knew she wouldn't be hurt by them. She also taught Quake earth and air bending and grew to like him a lot. They often practiced with each other and improved their skills. They also fought together in battles against the Combaticons.
After a year or so, she and Quake had a son, Revolt.
They are happy together and live a semi-peaceful life.
